Q-Matic in the UK - key staff

Alistair Agnew - Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Q-Matic Alistair has occupied senior executive roles across a number of industry sectors including sixteen years with Yamaha Kemble Music UK where he held a number of key roles culminating in his appointment as the Divisional Head for the company's Electronic Keyboards operation. From 2001 he spent seven years as Sales Director of Qm Group and trebled the size of the business in that time prior to it merging with Q-Matic. A talented pianist and presenter who has performed at venues around the world, Alistair is Chief Executive of the UK business and retains his passion for all things CFM.

Keith Tompson – Chief Commercial Officer

Keith joined Q-Matic in 2008 from location based intelligence specialist ACIS where he held the position of Commercial Director. Over a seven year period, he played a key role in helping grow the company to the point where it was sold to the Carlyle Group for £60 million. Prior to that he spent time in key roles with organisations ranging from Arriva PLC to Commercial Union. In his role as Chief Commercial Officer, Keith is responsible for Q-Matic' technical sales and support and the company’s burgeoning screen media operation. Keith is married with three children.

Bernie Williams – Chief Operating Officer

Bernie Williams joined Qm Group in 1999 having previously spent 17 years working for Yamaha Kemble Music UK where in his role as Service Manager he was responsible for running a nationwide team of service engineers as well as handling all facilities management and administration for the company. A qualified electronic engineer, Bernie is currently responsible for application development, production and warehousing, IT and installation and service. Bernie is married with two teenage children.

Roger Hobbs – Financial Director

Roger Hobbs was appointed to the role of Financial Director of Q-Matic UK in May 2008, having joined Qm Group prior to its merger with Q-Matic in 2007. He brings extensive experience of both the public and private sectors having previously spent seven years as Financial Controller of IMServ Europe Ltd, an Invensys plc owned Energy Data Collection Company. Before that he spent 19 years with British Rail working within a number of Engineering Divisions and the Board Head Office. Roger is married with three teenage children and lives in Milton Keynes.

Philip Tomlin - Sales Director – Retail and Retail Finance

Philip Tomlin has more than twenty years experience of working in the retail and retail finance sectors. A product design graduate by background, Phil has worked with some of the industry’s leading retail display and point of purchase providers handling clients including John Menzies, Sainsbury’s and Arcadia.

He joined Qm Group in early 2004 and during his time with the company he has been at the forefront of a major initiative to integrate store design with consumer behaviour psychology. In 2004 he launched the company’s offering into the US market and is now responsible for driving UK sales growth in the retail and retail finance sectors.

Chris Selwood – Sales Director - Public Sector

Chris Selwood joined Q-MATIC in 1999, having previously spent 17 years in financial services management. Since joining, he has risen within the organisation to his current position of Sales Director with responsibility for Public Sector and Healthcare. In addition to this role Chris currently holds the position of Chair of the Q-Matic Public Sector Advisory Board as well as being the UK representative on the Q-Matic Global Market Council.

Pia Knudsen - Marketing Manager

A qualified journalist by training Pia began her career at management consultant's McKinsey & Co in Stockholm and London before returning to journalism which culminated in her becoming News Agency Bureau Chief for IDG in London before crossing the fence to become a director of a public relations consultancy in Oxfordshire. Pia joined Q-Matic in 2005 and in her role as Marketing Manager is responsible for all marketing, branding and communications activity. Pia has two teenage children.
