Q-Matic in the UK - key staff

Bernie Williams – Chief Operating Officer

Bernie Williams joined Qm Group in 1999 having previously spent 17 years working for Yamaha Kemble Music UK where in his role as Service Manager he was responsible for running a nationwide team of service engineers as well as handling all facilities management and administration for the company. A qualified electronic engineer, Bernie is currently responsible for application development, production and warehousing, IT and installation and service. Bernie is married with two teenage children.

Alistair Agnew

Alistair Agnew - Chief Marketing Officer, Q-Matic Group

Prior to joining Q-Matic Alistair Agnew occupied senior executive roles across a number of industry sectors including 16 years with Yamaha Kemble Music UK. At Yamaha, Alistair held a number of key roles culminating in his appointment as the Divisional Head for the company's Electronic Keyboards operation. From 2001 he spent 7 years as Sales Director of Qm Group and trebled the size of the business prior to it merging with Q-Matic.

Alistair was then promoted to CEO of Q-Matic UK, followed by the appointment to global Chief Marketing Officer for Q-Matic Group. Now working at Group level for the Head Office, Alistair leads an international team with the aim of improving communications, leading global product launches and increasing sales competence at every one of Q-Matic’s offices across the world.

Terry Green

Terry Green - Board Member, Q-Matic Group

Terry Green's career stretches back more than twenty years and he has held senior sales, marketing and general management roles across a variety of sectors. An economics graduate of Warwick University, Terry's early career included a spell as Sales Director with mobile phone airtime company UniqueAir. After that he moved to S P Tyres UK Ltd and was responsible for re-launching the Dunlop Tyre brand in the UK.

In 1991 he co-founded Qm Group (now Q-Matic) with a colleague and became the voice of "Cashier Number 3 Please". He has overseen growth from a start up company to its current position as the UK's leading provider of queue management solutions with systems installed in retailers, financial services providers, travel operators and the public sector in countries throughout the world.

Chris Selwood - Sales Director

Chris Selwood joined Q-Matic in 1999, having previously spent 17 years in financial services management. Since joining, he has risen within the organisation to his current position of Sales Director with responsibility for all sales in the UK and Ireland. In addition to this role Chris is also a member of the UK Management Team and holds the position of UK representative on the Q-Matic Global Market Council.

Pia Knudsen - Corporate Marketing Manager

A qualified journalist by training Pia began her career at management consultants McKinsey & Co in Stockholm and London before returning to journalism. This culminated in her becoming News Agency Bureau Chief for IDG in London before crossing the fence to become a director of a public relations consultancy in Oxfordshire. Pia joined Q-Matic in 2005 and in her role as Marketing Manager is responsible for all marketing, branding and communications activity. Pia has two teenage children.
